Where will Taulia Tagovailoa land?

That’s the question being asked by many following the news that the sophomore quarterback made the decision to enter the NCAA transfer portal late last week. Taulia is the younger brother of former Alabama starting quarterback, Tua Tagovailoa.

Taulia saw action in five games last season with the Crimson Tide, completing nine of 12 attempts for 100 yards.

If Paul Finebaum is to be believed, the younger Tagovailoa brother will be following his family and is likely to pick a destination in Florida. Tua, of course, was picked in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft by the Miami Dolphins.

“Well, there’s an old line in journalism that’s called follow the money, in this case, it’s follow the family,” Finebaum said during his most recent appearance on Birmingham-based WJOX 94.5 FM radio show The Roundtable. “I don’t think it’s hard to figure out. I think it was doomed from the beginning. He should have never gone to Alabama, he did for reasons which I’ll let his parents explain – and it didn’t work out, and good for him. He’ll probably go to South Florida or somewhere down there and play football and I hope he does better than he did at Alabama.”

It’s not just Finebaum making that suggestion, however, as the CBS SportsLine oddsmakers list several Florida schools among the most likely destinations for Taulia after he entered the NCAA transfer portal.

Here are the odds from SportsLine:

Miami 2/1
Maryland 3.5/1
FIU 4/1
FAU 5/1
South Florida 7/1
UCF 9/1
Oregon 10/1
Hawaii 15/1
Auburn 20/1
