Tavares Harrington is narrowing down his recruitment and is still considering a trio of SEC programs.
On Saturday morning, Harrington shared his 5 finalists via Rivals’ Hayes Fawcett, confirming that he’s still considering Auburn, Ole Miss, Notre Dame, Michigan and Alabama.
Harrington has long been a priority for several SEC schools. Alabama first extended him an offer way back in September of 2025. Per 247Sports, he has a visit scheduled to Tuscaloosa in June.

Harrington is regarded as one of the top defensive backs in the country. He’s ranked as the No. 124 overall player and the No. 15 cornerback in the nation, per 247Sports Composite rankings. Harrington is also the No. 7 player from the state of Illinois.
Harrington attends Mount Carmel High School in Chicago. He’s listed at 6-foot-3, 175 pounds.
While 3 SEC schools made his group of finalists, Notre Dame and Michigan could also be competitive as his recruitment winds down. Both South Bend and Ann Arbor are much closer to Chicago than any of his SEC finalists.
There is no known timetable for Harrington to make a final commitment. Players in the class of 2027 can officially sign with their chosen programs in December.
