Tennessee AD Danny White announces extension of Happy Hour at Neyland Stadium for home football games

Regardless of a person’s politics, ticket-holders often do not appreciate it when the President of the United States chooses to attend their team’s game. Heightened security for POTUS means entry into the stadium moves at a slower pace, causing long lines. For Tennessee fans, though, something positive is coming of President Donald Trump’s decision to attend this past Saturday’s game between the Volunteers and Texas Longhorns.
With the security measures in mind, Tennessee announced last week that Neyland Stadium would be opening earlier than usual. To encourage fans to get through the gate early, UT offered half-price concessions — including beer for anyone up for a 9 a.m. breakfast brewski — for the first hour.

On Wednesday, Tennessee athletic director Danny White announced that “Happy Hour at Neyland Stadium” will continue for the rest of the 2026 season. Gates will continue to open 3 hours before kickoff, with happy hour prices at the concessions for the first hour.

The next Happy Hour at Neyland Stadium will be Saturday as the Vols host the Auburn Tigers. The game is set for a 3:30 p.m. ET kickoff, which may lead to more fans taking advantage of the half-price concession opportunity.
