Tennessee, Adidas unveil ‘Dark Mode’ football jerseys for 2026 season

Tennessee football will have a new black uniform for the 2026 campaign.
As part of its new deal with Adidas, Tennessee unveiled its new ‘Dark Mode’ uniform on Thursday morning. Earlier this week, the Vols gave fans a first look at orange and white uniforms for the 2026 season.

Tennessee previously announced that fans will be able to purchase new Adidas merchandise on Friday, July 10. Tennessee and Adidas officially entered a 10-year contract earlier this month after the Vols spent the previous 10+ years with Nike.
In 2025, Tennessee wore its ‘Dark Mode’ alternate against Oklahoma. The Sooners ended up winning that game 33-27 in Knoxville.
It’s not yet known when Tennessee will turn to its ‘Dark Mode’ jerseys in 2026. The Vols’ home SEC slate this year includes Texas, Alabama and LSU, among others.
Tennessee will be hoping to take a big step forward in 2026 after a disappointing campaign last fall that saw the Vols make significant changes to their defensive coaching staff. Tennessee will also have a new quarterback in 2026 with Joey Aguilar having exhausted his college eligibility.
Tennessee opens the 2026 season against Furman on Sept. 5.
