Tennessee has dominated this series in recent years, but the Wildcats have arguably their best team in more than a decade. The winner of this game will be in excellent position to reach the College Football Playoff.

The Volunteers made the CFP during the first iteration of the 12-team format, but missed out last year. Kentucky has never reached the College Football Playoff since its inception in 2014.

Tennessee is a 6.5-point favorite over the Wildcats in this game despite Kentucky being the higher-ranked team in this week’s College Football Playoff rankings. The outcome of this game will be crucial for both teams.

Unrelated to the product on the field, this game will feature one of the most interesting alternate uniform matchups of the 2026 season. Tennessee will be in all black for its annual ‘dark mode’ game while Kentucky announced it will wear its ‘icy white’ uniforms with a chrome helmet.

Kickoff is set for 7:15 p.m. ET on Saturday night.
