The No. 15-ranked Tennessee Volunteers are getting ready to welcome reigning C-USA champions Kennesaw State to Rocky Top for a Week 3 showdown under the lights at Neyland Stadium.

This will be the Vols’ final non-conference matchup before they kick off their daunting SEC schedule next weekend with a home game against the No. 1-ranked Texas Longhorns.

In anticipation of their Week 3 game against the Owls, Tennessee officially announced who its team captains will be when they take the field on Saturday night on the teamโ€™s official X account.

Per the post, senior linebackers Arion Carter and Jeremiah Telander will captain the Vols’ defense, while junior running back Arion Carter leads the offense and senior longsnapper Bennett Brady captains the special teams unit.

Carter and Telander are 2 of the top tacklers for the Vols so far with 8 a piece through the first 2 weeks of play, and Telander is also tied for second on the team in sacks with 1.

Bishop has been one of the conference’s top backs so far and is Tennessee’s leading rusher with 224 yards and 3 touchdowns. Lastly, Brady has anchored a Volunteers’ kicking squad that is a perfect 14/14 on PATs and 1/1 on field goal attempts.
