Tennessee football added a commitment from 4-star safety Marcus Jones on Friday, landing the Pennsylvania-native over the likes of Ohio State, Michigan and Ole Miss.
Jones committed to Tennessee following an official visit to Knoxville on June 12. He took a visit to Ann Arbor between that Tennessee visit and his commitment. The Vols were one of the first major programs to offer Jones, doing so on November 26 of 2025.
Standing at 6-foot-3, 190 pounds, Jones stars for The Haverford School in Haverford, Pennsylvania.

Jones is the 9th commitment of the month for Josh Heuel and Co, who currently own the nation’s No. 44 recruiting class. He’s the 6th highest rated prospect of the 16 players who have committed, and he represents Tennessee’s 2nd safety and 5th defensive back. Jones joins 3-star safety Jaden Butler, 3-star CB Jayden Leavell, 3-star CB Dylan Haley and 3-star CB Carter Jamison.
According to 247sports’ composite rankings, Jones is considered to be the No. 262 overall prospect in the country, as well as the No. 22 safety and No. 9 player out of Pennsylvania.
