ESPN college football insider Pete Thamel reported on Thursday morning, citing sources, that MacIntyre is getting the start for No. 14 Tennessee in Saturday’s rivalry showdown with No. 6 Alabama.
It will be the second consecutive start for MacIntyre. He took over for Faizon Brandon in the Auburn game and started for the Volunteers against Arkansas in Week 6.

Tennessee is 5-1 on the season, with the only loss coming against Texas on Sept. 26. Alabama is also 5-1, suffering its first loss in Week 6 to Georgia.
Saturday’s showdown is set for 3:30 p.m. ET in Knoxville. It will air on ABC.
