Tennessee fans furious over controversial pass interference call that led to Alabama TD

Tennessee had Alabama dead to rights on 3rd and goal.

An Alabama receiver ripped down a Tennessee defender as the ball sailed past on 3rd and long. A penalty flag flew and Tennessee was called for pass interference.

Tennessee fans reacted accordingly.

This game is far from over, but all momentum is Alabama’s way now. The Vols can’t stop the Crimson Tide on defense and Alabama is driving looking to take an 8-point lead in what was an 18-point Tennessee lead.

Tennessee gets a stop on defense and the @SECOfficiating gave Alabama a TD. It’s inexcusable that they missed that call—clearly the Bama WR pulling Tennessee defender down.

When Alabama’s receiver pulls UT’s defender down, you can’t call PI on Tennessee. It handed Bama a td instead of a field goal attempt. That is a game changing call. It’s absolutely shocking that Alabama would get a call like that. ?
