Tennessee takes on Illinois in the Music City Bowl on Tuesday (5:30 pm ET, ESPN), and the Volunteers will be doing so in their icy whites.

Tennessee announced its uniform combination via social media Sunday, choosing white shoes, white pants and white tops with the traditional white “Power T” helmet.

This will be the final uniform combination featuring Nike, as Tennessee is switching to Adidas for 2026. Tuesday marks the first-ever meeting between Tennessee (8-4) and Illinois (8-4).

Illinois coach Bret Bielema is aiming to become the first coach in program history to earn a bowl victory in consecutive seasons. Illinois also is bidding to win at least nine games in successive seasons for the first time. Coach Josh Heupel has led Tennessee to at least eight victories in four of his five seasons with the program.

Tennessee is 1-2 in Music City Bowls, defeating Nebraska to win the 2016 game along with losing to North Carolina in 2010 and to Purdue in 2021 – both losses coming in overtime. Illinois is playing in its first Music City Bowl.
