Tennessee reveals uniform for Week 2 road trip to Georgia Tech

Tennessee football will be rocking its stormtrooper look on Saturday night as the Vols travel to face off against Georgia Tech in Atlanta. This is the first time fans will be able to get a look at the Vols’ all-white jerseys following the athletic program’s switch from Nike to Adidas.
There were some rumblings that Georgia Tech would be donning home whites against the Volunteers, but that doesn’t look to be the case with this reveal from Tennessee. As of Thursday morning, GT still has not announced its jersey combo for Week 2’s Power 4 clash.

Tennessee is looking to improve to 2-0 on the season after blasting Furman in the season opener, 56-9. The Vols enjoyed a stellar debut from freshman quarterback Faizon Brandon, who collected just under 300 yards of total offense with 5 touchdowns (3 passing, 2 rushing). It was enough for Brandon to garner SEC Freshman of the Week and Shaun Alexander Freshman of the Week honors ahead of his first real test under center.
Georgia Tech fell to Colorado in a competitive matchup last week. Though usually considered a strong rushing team, the Yellow Jackets struggled on the ground in their season-opener, totaling just 51 yards on 30 carries. That’s not going to cut it against Tennessee.
Saturday’s matchup between the Vols and Yellow Jackets is set to kick off at 7 p.m. ET on ESPN.
