The Texas Longhorns added a commitment from one of the top prospects in the Class of 2027 on Saturday, landing a pledge from 5-star RB Landen Williams-Callis.

Williams-Callis hails from Richmond, Texas, which is located just outside of Houston, and attended Richmond Randle high school. He stands at 5-foot-8, 190 pounds and chose the Longhorns over offers from Indiana, Texas A&M, SMU and Oregon, to name a few.

As you can see below, Williams-Callis would be a Texas high school fantasy football legend, if there were such a thing. Across 3 seasons for Richmond Randle, Williams-Callis has so far totaled 7,554 yards and 133 touchdowns — that works out to 2,518 yards and 44 touchdowns per season, and he still hasn’t even played his senior year.

According to 247Sports, Williams-Callis is the No. 3 overall running back in the Class of 2027 rankings, as well as the No. 29 overall prospect and the No. 3 prospect out of the Lone Star State. Speaking to the legitimacy of Texas’ 2027 class, Williams-Callis is the 4th highest-ranked prospect in the boat thus far, just behind 5-stars Ismael Camara (OT), Easton Royal (WR) and Kasi Currie (DL).
