Reveille IX, who served as the Texas A&M Aggies‘ mascot from 2015-2021, passed away this weekend, according to a social media post from the official Reveille account. Reveille IX was 11 years old.

Reveille IX’s death came after complications from pneumonia, per the university.

Since 1931, Reveille — affectionately known as “Miss Rev” — has served as the Texas A&M mascot for nearly a century. Reveille I was the “First Lady of Aggieland” for 13 years (1932-1944) before her passing. Reveille II didn’t arrive until 1952, but every Aggie mascot since then has been Reveille. Every Reveille following Reveille I and II has been a full-blooded Rough Collie.

You can see the unofficial tenures of each Reveille as A&M’s mascot below:

  • Reveille I: 1932-1944
  • Reveille II: 1952-1966
  • Reveille III: 1966-1975

  • Reveille IX: 2015-2021
  • Reveille X: 2021-Present
