Buzz Williams and Texas A&M men’s basketball will take on Memphis in a home-and-home series the next 2 seasons, according to a report from Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports.

Memphis and Texas A&M will start a home-and-home series next season at FedExForum, and there will be a return game in College Station during the 23-24 season. Official dates and tip off times are TBD.

Texas A&M finished 27-13 last season and lost in the finals of the Postseason NIT. Quenton Jackson scored 23 points for the Aggies (27-13) in the NIT championship loss to Xavier after they were left out of the NCAA Tournament despite reaching the SEC championship, where they lost to Tennessee. It was a surprising snub by the selection committee that drew criticism from Texas A&M coach Buzz Williams and others as the Aggies were hottest team in the country during conference tournament week.

The Tigers were seen as somewhat of an underachiever last season after they began the season ranked No. 12 in the preseason AP Top 25. They were coming off an NIT championship and had the No. 1 recruiting class in the country led by Emoni Bates and Jalen Duren.
