Texas A&M will lose some depth in its defensive backfield as one of his top recruits from the 2021 class has reportedly entered the transfer portal, Matt Zenitz of On3 Sports reported.
Texas A&M freshman defensive back Dreyden Norwood, who did not see any action last season for the Aggies, is looking to play elsewhere. He was the top-rated player in Arkansas in the 2021 class, according to the 247Sports Composite, and the No. 24 cornerback in the class as a 4-star prospect.
He committed to A&M in July of 2020 and the Aggies beat out Arkansas. He was primarily a quarterback in high school and made the transition to the secondary.
Norwood appeared in 2 games this season, against Prairie View and LSU, but did not record any stats.
