Texas A&M lands Christmas commitment from 4-star in-state lineman

Jimbo Fisher’s Texas A&M program has something extra to celebrate this Christmas. Johnny Bowens has pledged to be an Aggie.
The 4-star defensive lineman shared the big news on Twitter.

The Judson High School standout from Converse, Texas is listed at 6-3, 270 pounds and rated 4-stars, the No. 36 defensive lineman, No. 40 Lone Star State product and No. 222 prospect overall nationally in the class of 2023 on the 247Sports Composite.
Bowens is pledging to Texas A&M early in his recruitment. At this time, his other scholarship offers are from Baylor, Houston, Louisiana Tech, North Texas, Texas and UTSA. Bowens’ junior-season highlights can be viewed below, via Hudl:
