Texas A&M added to its 2026 class on Monday with the commitment of 4-star linebacker/safety Tamarion Watkins, the Aggies’ 25th prospect added to the 2026 cycle.

The Aggies currently boast the No. 3 overall class in the 2026 cycle, behind only USC and Georgia.

As you can see above, Watkins stands at 6-4, 205 pounds and chose the Aggies over the likes of Georgia, Miami and South Carolina. He also held offers from Alabama, Florida and Florida State. Watkins attended Northwestern HS in Rock Hill, just outside of Charlotte on the South Carolina side of the border.

Watkins is considered to be the No. 350 overall prospect in the country, as well as the No. 29 safety and No. 8 player out of the Palmetto state according to 247Sports’ composite rankings.

Among Texas A&M prospects, Watkins is the highest rated safety, joining 3-star safety Chance Collins. He’s also one of 4 defensive backs added by the Aggies, joining Collins and CBs Victor Singleton and Camren Hamiel.
