As the Early Signing Period is around the corner, Texas A&M has reached into Missouri, this time to land Antonio Doyle Jr., a 4-star linebacker.
Doyle is from St. Louis (Lutheran North) and ranked the No. 99 player in the country, the No. 8 outside linebacker in the country, and the No. 4 player in Missouri, according to 247Sports. Doyle had a reported 30 offers, and picked Texas A&M over Missouri and Illinois.
Doyle is the 21st commitment in this class for the Aggies, who are ranked the No. 3 team in the SEC, and the No. 5 team in the country, according to 247Sports. He is the fifth-highest rated recruit in the 2020 class for Jimbo Fisher’s program.
“Just his leadership, how he puts guys in the league and him being a genuine coach, and how he cares about his players and how he can change the whole environment and give people hope,” Doyle told GigEm247. “Chasing a dream and itโs a cool thing and sometimes unbelievable. Iโve always wanted to play for Coach Fisher and help him win a National Championship.โ
Doyle is the second linebacker to commit to A&M in this cycle, alongside 3-star Kenneth Phillips (5-11, 205) of Richmond, Texas.ย Fisher has previously said the Aggies expect to sign 25 players for the 2020 class.
Doyle announced his decision in a Batman-themed video below:
