Texas A&M added the 21st commitment of the 2027 cycle on Sunday, landing a commitment from Ohio-based wide receiver Trey Haddad. The Cleveland native chose Mike Elko and the Aggies over offers from Louisville, Michigan State, Kansas and West Virginia, to name a few.

Haddad stands at 6-foot-1, 175 pounds and plays for St. Ignatius. He’s the first prospect out of Ohio to commit to Texas A&M since Vic Singleton and Storm Miller from last year’s class.

Haddad is the second wide receiver to commit to Texas A&M this cycle, joining 4-star receiver Jaden Upshaw out of Leesburg, Georgia. Hakim Frampton, who hails from San Antonio, could also play receiver at the next level but played both sides of the ball in HS.

Haddad is not a highly-rated prosect. He does not currently have a rating on 247Sports’ site and grades out as the No. 1677 overall prospect in the Class of 2027 according to On3 Sports, as well as the No. 215 WR and No. 75 prospect out of Ohio.

Of course, Texas A&M’s 2027 class has no shortage of highly-rated prospects. The Aggies boast the No. 1 overall class this cycle according to 247Sports, including 10 commitments inside the top 100 and a pair of 5-stars — OT Mark Matthews and DL Zyron Forstall.
