Texas A&M is 2-0 after victories against UTSA and Utah State. The Aggies have posted 86 points in those 2 games combined.
In Week 3, they’ll face a much stiffer challenge.
The Aggies head to South Bend to face Notre Dame in the second game of a home-and-home series between the two teams. According to Circa Sports, they will open as a 6-point underdog against the Fighting Irish at Notre Dame Stadium, with the over/under set at 49.5.
Texas A&M will be looking to return the favor after a heartbreaking loss to the Irish at Kyle Field a season ago. In that one, Jeremiyah Love broke a 4th-quarter tie with a 21-yard touchdown run as Notre Dame escaped with a 23-13 win. Conner Weigman threw for 100 yards on 12-of-30 passing with 2 interceptions and Le’Veon Moss had 20 carries for 70 yards in just the 6th all-time meeting between the 2 programs.
The Aggies’ offense has been clicking in 2025, at least through 2 games. Marcel Reed has 7 passing touchdowns while rushing for another. During Week 2’s win over Utah State, Mario Craver had 5 catches for 114 yards and a touchdown while KC Conception added 6 catches for 73 yards and 2 scores.
Notre Dame suffered a season-opening Week 1 loss to Miami on Aug. 31. The Irish had an open date for Week 2.
