Texas A&M got some good injury news in the moments leading up to Saturday’s SEC showdown at No. 13 Alabama.
When the Aggies kick things off with the Crimson Tide at about 3:30 p.m. ET on ABC, it will have the services of star wide receiver Mario Craver. The junior who was born in Birmingham will get a chance to play in his home state, as he wasn’t on the game day SEC injury list that was released about an hour and a half before kickoff.
Craver was listed as questionable earlier this week and then was upgraded to probable on Friday night. On Saturday, he was upgraded again, as in taken off the injury list totally, and the weapon who has 24 catches for 241 yards and 2 touchdowns this season will be available as the Aggies try to pull the road upset in Tuscaloosa.
But Craver’s availability might not be the only good news for Texas A&M. Star defensive end Anto Saka was listed as a game-time decision, which doesn’t provide a guarantee that he’ll play but also allows for the chance that the senior will be in the lineup when the game starts.
Saka has 10 tackles this season, 3 of them solo, as well as half a sack and 1 fumble recovery for the Aggies this season. He was listed as questionable on Friday night’s injury report, so the game-time decision designation didn’t really change much about the outlook on Saka for Saturday.
