James Foster has changed his mind once again.
The Texas A&M quarterback, who has opted out of the 2020 season, has elected to withdraw his name from the transfer portal, Matt Zenitz of AL.com reported. He is a native of Montgomery, Alabama (Lanier), and had been in the portal since July 24. Foster previously entered the portal about a year ago before he withdrew his name the same day. He was the Aggies’ third-string quarterback last year.
Foster signed with Texas A&M over scholarship offers from Alabama, LSU and Florida State.
Foster, who is listed at 6-foot-3 and 217 pounds redshirted in 2018, then last season played in four games, and went 2-for-5 passing for 25 yards, with a pair of rushes for 17 yards in the win over Lamar. He also got in the action against Mississippi State and South Carolina.
Foster was a consensus top-15 player in the state of Alabama and labeled a 3-star recruit by 247.
