Texas A&M has reportedly hired its next OC following the hire of new HC Mike Elko.
Elko needed to replace Bobby Petrino, who served as Fisher’s OC this season and is now the OC at Arkansas. On Tuesday morning, Elko reportedly tabbed Kansas State OC Collin Klein for the vacant OC job.
Klein played QB for Kansas State from 2008-2012 and joined the team as a grad assistant a few years later. He worked with Northern Iowa for one season before returning to K-State in 2017, where he served in several roles until being hired away by the Aggies.
Sources: Texas A&M is set to hire Kansas State offensive coordinator Collin Klein for the same role under new coach Mike Elko. Klein has emerged as one of the top OCs in the market, and drew interest last year from Notre Dame. First reported by @LifeofFitz.

Kansas State’s offense is as solid as they come. The Wildcats averaged 37.8 points per game this season, the 2nd most of any team in the Big 12 and 10th most in the country. KSU averaged just under 200 rushing yards per game, which marked 15th in the country.
Once this report is finalized Elko will have made at least 4 assistant hires – Klein as OC, Adam Cushing at OL coach, Sean Spencer as DL coach and Ishmael Aristide as DB coach.
