Texas A&M reveals first look at Kyle Field ahead of Red, White & Blue game
The Texas A&M Aggies have a cool tradition to honor their country and its values. This tradition — their Red, White & Blue game — is this weekend, and the university is taking the event to another level this go-round.
Wednesday morning, the Aggies revealed a red, white & blue logo at the 50-yard line of Kyle Field. They also showed off a traditional A&M maroon endzone and a blue endzone for the festivities.
Texas A&M’s Red, White & Blue game first began in 2001. That year, a group of students took initiative to show off American pride in the wake of the 9/11 terrorist attacks. The quintet organized a red, white and blue out for the Aggies’ game versus Oklahoma State, then sold more than 70,000 T-shirts in roughly 10 days prior to the contest. In all, their efforts raised $235,000 for the New York Fire and Police Benevolence relief funds.
Back in 2021, Texas A&M hosted Kent State its second Red White & Blue game. The student organization Maroon Out executed the event and sold roughly 75,000 T-shirts, raising funds for Texas Task Force 1 and the President George H.W. Bush Points of Light Foundation.
