Texas A&M is going to play one of the biggest games in program history on Friday night, and it will also be one of the biggest games in the history of the Aggies’ rivalry with Texas.

The matchup in Austin that will kick off at 7:30 p.m. ET on ABC has College Football Playoff implications everywhere, especially for No. 3 Texas A&M, which will be trying to complete a perfect 12-0 regular season. But No. 16 Texas (8-3) also could have an outside chance to sneak back in the Playoff discussion with an upset on Friday night and some help elsewhere this weekend, and when you add the rivalry factor to the Playoff factor, just about everything is on the line on Black Friday night in Austin.

For such a grand occasion, the Aggies have made sure to be dressed appropriately, and a few hours before kickoff Texas A&M revealed the uniform combination it will be featuring for the titanic SEC showdown. The social media post by the Texas A&M football account had 3 simple words for its fans: “Maroon. White. Maroon.”

That means the Aggies will be wearing, from top to bottom, maroon helmets with their white road jersey tops and maroon pants for the Lone Star Showdown. They can only hope this combo is a winning combo on Friday night as Texas A&M looks to finish off a dream regular season in style in front of a national TV audience.

Texas A&M is a very slight favorite in enemy territory, with its rival trying to ruin that perfect regular-season record.

The Aggies would also like to do a little ruining, as in squashing their rival’s faint Playoff hopes in front of Texas’s home fans.
