Texas A&M has business ahead of it starting with Saturday’s season opener against Missouri State, and once the 8th-ranked Aggies get through with that, there will be a journey toward big goals of making a run at the SEC title and a College Football Playoff berth.
For now, on the final day of August, the preseason No. 8 team in the country unveiled the exact lineup that it will use to take that first step in Week 1. Texas A&M released its initial depth chart as it prepares for the Bears of Conference USA.
The Aggies will kick it off at 7 p.m. ET on ESPN at what promises to be a rocking Kyle Field, and at the top of that depth chart of course contains a quarterback in Marcel Reed who can propel Texas A&M to the next level if he himself gets to the next level in 2026.
One name that should stick out to SEC fans and specifically Alabama fans is wide receiver Isaiah Horton, who left the Crimson Tide to transfer to an SEC rival. Horton will be counted on to make a big-time impact in his first season in College Station, and surely there will be a lot of eyes in Tuscaloosa on what Horton is able to contribute.
