Sherrard is from Pearland, Texas, which is located south of Houston. Sherrard’s Shadow Creek High School is less than 200 miles away from his future home in Austin.
This is a significant pickup for the Longhorns. Sherrard is the No. 157 overall player and the No. 18 cornerback in the nation, per 247Sports Composite rankings. He’s also the No. 22 player from the state of Texas.
Sherrard is listed at 6-foot-1, 180 pounds. He took an official visit to Austin earlier this month. He first earned an offer from Texas’s coaching staff way back in June of 2025, so this commitment is more than a year in the making.
With this pledge, Texas is now up to 22 commitments in the class of 2027. He’s the No. 5 overall player in the nation for this cycle, per 247Sports Composite rankings.
