Texas fans blast Steve Sarkisian for poor 1st half at Mississippi State

Texas entered Saturday against Mississippi State on a two-game winning streak that’s helped the Longhorns remain in the hunt for the College Football Playoff.
However, Texas‘s CFP hopes are in serious jeopardy after one half in Starkville. The Longhorns trail 24-14 at the break to Mississippi State.
The poor performance to start the game comes after head coach Steve Sarkisian was linked to potential NFL head coaching vacancies this offseason. Sarkisian, through a statement from his agency, denied those links on Saturday prior to kickoff.
However, those rumors coupled with the team’s awful first half have fans voicing their frustrations about Sarkisian on social media.
The game against the Bulldogs was one of the more manageable games remaining on the schedule. In the Longhorns’ final four games of the season, three of them are against teams that are currently ranked in the top 10.
Saturday has been a wild day for Sarkisian and the Longhorns, and it could be much worse if the Longhorns aren’t able to complete the second half comeback against the Bulldogs.
