The first Saturday of the 2026 college football season offered some insane moments and phenomenal matchups on the gridiron, but everybody in the country has had Week 2 circled on the calendars all offseason, and for good reason.

Week 2 will feature the first true heavyweight battle of the year with No. 1-ranked Ohio State Buckeyes traveling down to the Lone Star State to take on the No. 5 Texas Longhorns.

There are very few games this season that will have bigger College Football Playoff implications than this one, and the folks over at Circa Sports released their opening line for the monster bout on Sunday afternoon.

According to Circa’s oddsmakers, the Longhorns open as a slight home favorite at -2 over the top-ranked team in the land after both squads dominated their respective G5 opponents in Week 1.

These 2 programs met in Week 1 last season when then No. 1 Texas made the trek up to Columbus to face No. 3 Ohio State and were handed a 14-7 loss in Arch Manning’s first game as the primary starter under center.

Now Manning and the Horns have a chance to avenge that loss on their home turf and notch what would be one of the biggest wins of the Steve Sarkisian era.
