Texas offensive tackle Trevor Goosby will be out for the remainder of the 2026 season, according to a report.
That’s per ESPN’s Pete Thamel, who broke the news on Sunday afternoon. Goosby suffered a knee injury in Texas‘s win over Ole Miss on Saturday and missed most of the contest.
Per ESPN’s Field Yates, Goosby was a potential top 10 pick in the 2027 NFL Draft prior to suffering this injury.

This is a huge blow for a Texas offense that has dealt with more than its fair share of injuries this season. Cam Coleman and Hollywood Smothers are also currently banged up and are questionable entering Week 9.
With Goosby out, Texas will have to turn to a much less experienced option at offensive tackle. Against the Rebels, the answer was Andre Cojoe, who played the final 62 snaps of the game as Arch Manning’s blindside. Cojoe struggled, turning in a PFF pass blocking grade of just 35.9.
This is Cojoe’s 4th season at Texas. He was a 3-star recruit for the Longhorns back in the class of 2023.
Texas will face Mississippi State in Week 9.
