Texas starting OL left Monday practice with knee injury, per report

Unfortunate injury news out of fall camp in Austin.
Texas insider Anwar Richardson reports that Longhorns starting offensive lineman Trevor Goosby left Monday’s practice with an apparent knee injury. Per Richardson, the severity of Goosby’s injury was not immediately known as the lineman is set to undergo tests.

Goosby is entering Year 4 playing for Steve Sarkisian‘s program. A former Melissa (Texas) High School standout, the 6-7 325-pound Goosby has appearaed in 30 games, making 15 starts over the past 3 seasons.
Last season, Goosby was a 13-game starter at left tackle for the Longhorns. He earned recognition from the conference coaches as an All-SEC first-team selection. Goosby was recently named a preseason first-team All-America and preseason first-team All-SEC selection by Phil Steele.
Texas fans are sure to be closely watching for updates on Goosby’s status. The No. 5 Longhorns open the 2026 campaign by hosting Texas State. Preseason No. 1 Ohio State visits Austin for a highly anticipated Week 2 showdown.
