The Texas Tech Red Raiders closed as roughly two-touchdown favorites against the Colorado Buffaloes on Saturday night. Knowing that, it makes sense that the Red Raiders won the game 29-7. However, they may have received some help from an unlikely source.

Saturday morning, in advance of kickoff, a Texas Tech fan took to social media claiming they had found a Colorado playbook. The message board user said they found it at the Buffs’ hotel.

Other social media observers were understandably dismissive of the statements, believing it would be impossible for someone to leave their playbook behind/accessible in such a public setting. However, shortly after the game concluded, the playbook was released. And, it appears to be legitimate. Pictures of the plays from it match what Colorado ran to open the game.

Following that development, social media did its thing. Users claimed whoever lost the playbook should be fired, and that the entire Buffaloes’ program needs a reset. Others suggested the plays were drawn up after Colorado’s opening drives to fuel the narrative.

The Red Raiders and Buffaloes both go on bye in Week 6. Texas Tech hosts Arizona State in Week 7, while Colorado welcomes Utah to Boulder. Neither kickoff time has been determined yet.
