Tim Tebow will be keeping a close watch on Arch Manning as the Texas quarterback enters 2025 as the Longhorns’ starter under center.

Manning will have a stiff test ahead of him right out of the gate. The Longhorns open the season at Ohio State in a game that features a pair of teams that should be in the mix for a College Football Playoff spot.

While conceding that Manning’s arm is “probably not the strongest in the country,” Tebow feels Manning has plenty of tools to succeed. But will he rise to the occasion now that he’s the starter?

“He’s someone that there is nothing, when you look at his skill set, that I don’t think he does well,” Tebow said from Atlanta on The Paul Finebaum Show. “Now we’ll see how he’s able to lead with all of the pressure, but he’s someone that I believe could be really good to great.”

Of course, given his pedigree, Manning has carried, and will carry, plenty of expectations. Tebow, though, thinks Manning has taken it in stride.

“I’m excited to see where that ceiling is because this is someone that, since he first put on a helmet, has had to deal with pressure because he’s a Manning,” Tebow said. “And then with all of the hype, it’s just compounded. But I think he’s handled it extremely well.”
