It’s Tebow Time.

Tebow, who plays for the New York Mets’ Arizona Fall League affiliate Scottsdale Scorpions,ย knocked in the game-winning run during Monday nightโ€™s game vs. the Mesa Solar Sox. He chipped an opposite-field, walk-off single, coming with the bases loaded and two outs in the bottom of the ninth.

The Scorpions won 4-3. His hit came against a Miami Marlins Triple-A pitcher.

โ€œIt feels good,โ€ Tebow told the New York Daily Newsโ€™ Mark Feinsand:. โ€œIt feels good just to be with these guys and having fun with them and have a come from behind win. Weโ€™ve given up a few of these this year so it feels good to get one. Those are the situations you love; I mean, thatโ€™s fun. A lot of pressure but theyโ€™re fun moments.โ€

Tebow gave some credit to MLB Hall of Famer Reggie Jackson, who was in town talking to New York Yankees prospects on Tebowโ€™s team, but took some time to meet the former Heisman Trophy winner, too.

โ€œThe whole day they had been throwing me outside fastballs and they had the shift on a little bit, and Mr. Jackson was just talking about letting it get deep and going with it,โ€ Tebow said. โ€œSo first pitch tried to let it get deep and hit it opposite way, especially when they play you for a pull.โ€

Tebow is now hitting .146 (6-for-41) with a pair of RBI after his walk-off hit last night, but it’s important to point out that the competition he’s facing isย of extreme quality for someone who hadn’t been on a baseball diamond in over a decade.
