Tim Tebow raves about Mississippi State QB Kamario Taylor: ‘He’s a baller’

The Mississippi State Bulldogs are looking to turn a corner in 2026 in Jeff Lebby‘s third season at the helm in Starkville, and many believe that the Dawgs have just the quarterback who can help them do so: sophomore phenom Kamario Taylor.
A true dual-threat gunslinger, Taylor wowed everybody at Mississippi State last season over the final 2 games of the season when he took over for an injured Blake Shapen.
Now, he’s taken the reins in just his second year as a college player, and he’s already earned the praise of an SEC legend, Tim Tebow, who raved about Taylor on SEC Nation.

“I do believe that Kamario Taylor has the chance to be a superstar,” Tebow said. “I love his ability, but he needs people around him to step up. I love Fluff Bothwell (MSU RB), I think he’s going to have some support… Kamario Taylor is a baller. He is an absolute freak, and I love the kid.”
There’s no question that Taylor has the talent to be everything that Tebow says here and then some, but he’ll have to prove he can translate that immense talent into results on the field.
If he can do so, then Mississippi State might make some noise in an extremely crowded SEC come season’s end.
