Former LSU star Odell Beckham Jr. drew plenty of attention on Sunday as the Cleveland Browns took on the Baltimore Ravens and Marlon Humphrey and Beckham got into a choke-hold altercation that brought flags, officials and teammates to break up the scuffle.

On “The Herd,” Colin Cowherd asked former NFL star Tony Gonzalez if that trash talking and physical nature against Beckham is a strategy that’s working.

“Absolute, that’s why he couldn’t handle New York,” Gonzalez said. “New York ate him up. That’s why he had to get out of there. Too many eyes on him. Too much pressure.”

Gonzalez said he was the subject of trash talk, but he didn’t talk back, which is the difference. The times Gonzalez did talk back, he played worse, he said.

“A lot of superstars have to go through that, but he’s not handling it,” Gonzalez said.

Beckham was held to two catches for 20 yards in the win against Baltimore. He has just one touchdown this season on 14 catches for 237 yards.
