Continuing our daily look at top recruits in each of the 10 SEC states, the next stop is Missouri. The show-me state is considered a bellweather state in politics and it can be considered the same in college football recruiting. Depending on location Missouri can be Big 12ย or Big Ten country. With Missouri in the SEC the tide could be changing a little, but it won’t happen fast.

Based on 247Sportsโ€™ 2016 composite rankings by state, here are Missouriโ€™s 10 best prospects and where theyโ€™re headed (comments where necessary):

1. A.J. Taylor, ATH, 5-11, 190, Kansas City (four stars, committed to Wisconsin)

2. Brendanย Scales, TE, 6-4, 235, Ballwin (three stars, committed to Alabama)

3. Skylar Thompson, QB, 6-2, 200, Independence (three stars, committed to Kansas State)

4. Roderick Campbell Jr., CB, 5-11, 180, St. Louis (three stars, committed to Northwestern)

5. Tre Williams, DE, 6-4, 225, Columbia (three stars, committed to Missouri)

Williams has been solidly committed since June.

6. Chase Allen, TE, 6-6, 220, Nixa (three stars, uncommitted): Allen is a late-rising prospect whoย recently received offers from Missouri, Michigan and Florida State. His recruitment will become much clearer in January. He tookย an official to Minnesota in December and the Gophers were the leaders at the time, but that was before the recent waves of offers came in.

8. Boe Wilson, OG, 6-3, 290, Lee’s Summitt (three stars, committed to Nebraska)

9. Trystan Castillo, OC, 6-4, 280, Webb City (three stars, committed to Missouri)

10. Roddrick Bryant, WR 6-2, 185, St. Louis (three starts, uncommitted):ย Arkansas had interest last summer, but it looks like Indiana and Illinois are Bryant’s top current offers.
