A top 10 team fell in Week 9 as Oklahoma went down after losing to Kansas in Lawrence.

The Jayhawks won 38-33 after stopping a late drive by the Sooners. Dillon Gabriel threw a prayer up towards the back of the endzone that was well by Kansas.

Fans rushed the field and started tearing down one of the goalposts as the clock hit zero.

One of the only SEC losing streaks that rivaled Kansas-Oklahoma was Tennessee-Alabama. The Jayhawks had not beaten the Sooners since 1998. The Volunteers ended a losing streak to Alabama dating back to 2006 last season in Knoxville.

The job that Lance Leipold has done with Kansas doesn’t get talked about enough.

Kansas won zero games in 2020. Leipold took over for the 2021 season and won two games. He coached the team to a bowl game last season and has now upset one of the best teams in the country this year.

Never change college football.
