Oklahoma is on a recruiting roll. It’s Future Freaks Weekend in Norman, and Brent Venables‘ staff is landing some verbal pledges for future Sooners.

The trifecta started with a commitment from quarterback prospect Jamison Robinson. Offensive lineman Tyson Ross and defensive back Jaylen Scott then got in on the fun.

Out of Andover (Kansas) High School, Ross is listed as measuring over 6-3 and 285 pounds. On the 247Sports Composite, Ross is rated 3-stars, the No. 4 player in the state of Kansas, No. 41 interior offensive lineman and No. 709 prospect overall in the Class of 2027.

Ross told Hayes Fawcett of Rivals that he committed to Oklahoma over Mizzou, Kansas State and Oregon.

Like Robinson, Soctt hails from Alabama. The Mobile Williamson High School standout is listed as 6-feet and 165 pounds. He’s rated 4-stars, the No. 8 player in the state of Alabama, No. 14 safety and No. 164 prospect overall for 2027 on the 247Sports Composite.

Scott told Fawcett that he chose OU over Florida, Tennessee and Georgia.

Oklahoma’s hot start to the 2027 recruiting cycle has the Sooners sitting at 17 commitments already. The class is ranked No. 1 nationally on the Composite.
