Trinidad Chambliss after win over LSU: ‘They always doubt Ole Miss’

Trinidad Chambliss and Ole Miss took on LSU, led by former coach Lane Kiffin, in one of the most hyped college football games in quite some time. Often, when games have that much hype, they don’t live up to the expectations. However, that wasn’t the case as the Rebels beat the Tigers, 32-24, in a classic game. Chambliss was outstanding, finishing 33-of-48 for 363 yards and two touchdowns.
After the win, Chambliss talked to Holly Rowe, telling her it is time for people to stop doubting Ole Miss.
“We don’t quit,” Chambliss said. “A lot of people may doubt us; they always doubt Ole Miss. I don’t know why. We are here now; we are here to compete.”
The Rebels started hot, taking a 24-7 lead at halftime. Chambliss put together as good a first half as any quarterback could in this type of game. He was 21-of-27 for 248 yards and two touchdowns. In the second half, the Tigers were able to get a little bit more pressure on him, and he wasn’t as accurate.
However, as the best quarterbacks tend to do, Chambliss delivered on that last drive when his team absolutely needed him to.
This game had been circled from the moment the SEC made the schedule. Chambliss may feel like there are still people doubting the Rebels now, but after that performance, it will be hard to find those people.
