Ole Miss quarterback Trinidad Chambliss took another step toward the Heisman Trophy on Saturday night.

Chambliss was the key difference-maker in the Rebels’ 32-24 victory. He threw for 363 yards and 2 touchdowns and also ran for another score in the 4th quarter that proved to be the game-winner.

That display has driven Chambliss near the top of the Heisman Trophy odds board after Week 3. He’s now neck-and-neck with Miami’s Darian Mensah, per the latest odds on Kalshi:

Mensah has been a strong early favorite, but now he has company above the 20% threshold. No other college football player has more than a 10% chance to win the 2026 Heisman Trophy, per Kalshi’s marketplace.

Chambliss entered the year as a potential Heisman contender alongside players like Mensah, Arch Manning, CJ Carr and several others.

However, no one has performed quite as well as Chambliss โ€” especially against high-level competition. Chambliss has now led the Rebels to a pair of top-25 wins over Louisville and LSU early in the season.

No player from Ole Miss has ever won the Heisman Trophy, which has been handed out annually since 1935. The Rebels haven’t produced any player to even get top 3 in Heisman voting since Eli Manning in 2003.
