Troll Tide: Alabama fans mock Tennessee for returning part of visitor ticket allotment for 2021 matchup

For each of the past 14 years, the Third Saturday in October rivalry game between Alabama and Tennessee has ended with the Crimson Tide ahead on the scoreboard.

In the past 5 meetings, the Vols have failed to come within 20 points of the Tide. That might not change in 2021, when the Vols visit Tuscaloosa on Oct. 23.

Thus, Tennessee fans didn’t purchase their entire allotment of tickets to the away game. Alabama announced on Wednesday that some tickets had been returned for Crimson Tide fans to buy:

Naturally, Alabama fans were quick to troll their Rocky Top rivals for failing to sell their entire allotment. Here are some of the reaction tweets:

Will this year’s Vols-Tide game be another Alabama beatdown? Well, the Tide will be playing in front of an even larger home contingent than normal, it seems.
