Trouble in Tuscaloosa: Kalen DeBoer, Crimson Tide catch heat for ugly start vs. Florida State

Alabama fans must be getting the strangest sense of deja vu after watching the opening half of Week 3’s battle between Florida State and Alabama.

The Seminoles currently lead Alabama 21-13 entering a weather delay just 2 minutes before the halftime break. The score is actually pretty favorable considering what has been an overwhelmingly bad first half for the Crimson Tide. The main factor in this one so far has been each team’s efficiency on 3rd down. Florida State finished the first half 4-for-4 on 3rd down compared to Alabama’s 1-for-7 mark.

As you can probably expect, Kalen DeBoer is taking some major heat for the way Alabama has fared early in this one. After all, you’d think Alabama would come out angry and wanting revenge after suffering a shocking loss to Florida State early last season.
