Report: Former LSU TE Tyler Edwards dead at 26

According to The Advocate, former LSU tight end Tyler Edwards died Saturday night in Monroe. He was 26.

Edwards, an Ouachita Parish High School graduate, was a member of the Tigers’ football team from 2008 to 2012, and Ouachita Parish Deputy Coroner Warren Lee confirmed to The Advocate Edwards’ death but would not say the cause. It’s under investigation.

Edwards was a reserve tight end for three seasons before he was ruled ineligible his senior year in 2012. He played in 39 games for the Tigers during his career.
