Texas A&M’s underrated commit: Landis Durham

In need of a physical presence in the middle of its defense, Texas A&M believes three-star linebacker Landis Durham (Plano, Texas) could eventually be the guy who delivers in College Station, an athletic hard-nosed tackler with the skillset to play early.

Durham and Riley Garner are currently the only two commits at a position of serious need for the Aggies and become even more important heading into January after five-star Malik Jefferson, a potential program-changer, chose Texas earlier this month.

It’ll be interesting to see how Durham fits into the yet-to-be-named new defensive coordinator’s scheme next season and whether he’ll continue his career at linebacker or move off the edge at defensive line. Immediate help is needed at linebacker which is where Durham will likely stay if the Aggies stick with their 4-3 base.
