Van Jefferson praises Florida assistant Billy Gonzales: ‘Best WR coach in the country’

Since joining Florida’s coaching staff 2 years ago as 1 of Dan Mullen’s longtime assistants, Billy Gonzales has coached some talented Gator receivers.

Four of those guys — Tyrie Cleveland, Josh Hammond, Van Jefferson and Freddie Swain — are on NFL rosters heading into the 2020 season.

On Monday, Gonzales tweeted out a graphic celebrating that fact, and as you can see below, Jefferson responded with a pitch to recruits, calling Gonzales the best WR coach in the country:

Jefferson has been getting a ton of buzz during the Los Angeles Rams’ training camp. He was a second-round pick by the Rams in the 2020 NFL Draft.
