Vanderbilt adds commitment from former Stanford edge rusher

A former Stanford edge rusher is headed to Vanderbilt on Early Signing Day. Aeneas DiCosmo confirmed on Twitter that he’s joining the Commodores.

The 6-2, 251-pound DiCosmo was at Stanford for 4 years and amassed 26 total tackles and 1.5 sacks. DiCosmo is regarded by the On3 transfer portal rankings as the No. 37 edge player. The Montclair, New Jersey, native is a 2-time Pac-12 All-Academic Honor Roll member.

DiCosmo entered his college career as the nation’s 32nd-best defensive end and the No. 12 player from New Jersey, according to 247Sports.

Vanderbilt’s 2023 class now stands at 21 members. The class currently ranks No. 44 in the nation, per the 247Sports composite rankings.
