Vanderbilt football just walked into the Lone Star State and beat the likes of Texas and Texas Tech to land a commitment from 4-star offensive tackle Jasper Ngokwere.
Ngokwere hails from Richardson, Texas, a suburb north of Dallas, and is a monster prospect at 6-foot-6, 290 pounds. His offer list is pretty impressive, too — the 4-star prospect, in addition to offers from Texas and Texas Tech, also received interest from Florida, Auburn, Michigan, LSU, Florida State and Georgia, to name a few.

Ngokwere is the 2nd highest rated prospect added by Vanderbilt in the Class of 2027, just behind top-end 4-star linebacker Omarii Sanders from Nashville. According to 247Sports’ composite rankings, Ngokwere is considered to be the No. 207 overall prospect in the country, as well as the No. 25 offensive tackle and No. 27 player out of the Lone Star State.
Ngokwere is Vanderbilt’s second addition along the offensive line, joining 3-star offensive tackle Luke Burger out of Chattanooga, Tennessee.
