Vanderbilt defensive end reportedly enters transfer portal

Vanderbilt may be losing some depth on the defensive line, as DE Jacques Hunter has entered the transfer portal, according to a report from Robbie Weinstein of 247Sports.
The freshman did not see any playing time this past season for the Commodores after the Valdosta, Georgia (Lowndes) native was part of the 2021 recruiting class.
Hunter committed to Vanderbilt when Derek Mason was still the coach, and the 6-foot-3, 210-pound Hunter came out of high school rated as a 3-star prospect and the No. 81 strongside defensive end prospect in the 2021 recruiting cycle by 247Sports Composite Rankings. Hunter picked Vanderbilt over scholarship offers from Ole Miss and South Carolina, among others.
