Auburn wide receiver Gray King will not return for the 2016 football season, according to a report from AL.com.

King’s family told AL.com’s Wesley Sinor that he broke his arm in the practices leading up to the Tigers’ appearance in the Birmingham Bowl in December, and that King decided to leave the program shortly after the conclusion of the 2015 season.

The former walkon receiver is still rehabbing his injury and attending classes at Auburn during the spring semester, but is no longer on the Tigers official roster.

King played on special teams for the Tigers in 2014 and 2015, and may be best remembered for the two catches he made during Auburn’s quadruple-overtime loss to Arkansas last season.

His brother, Griffin, is still on the Tigers roster and competing for playing time at wide receiver this spring.
